BLAVATSKY, GOD, "SATAN" AND MISCONCEPTION

Every now and then people are posting memes or claiming that some sayings are from Blavatsky. For example this one whereof explanation now:

The statement "It is Satan who is the god of our planet and the only god" is found in the writings of the Theosophist Helena Blavatsky, but it is a quote she used from another source, not her original assertion.

In her main work, The Secret Doctrine, Blavatsky quotes this sentence from the book The Perfect Way by Dr. Anna Kingsford. Blavatsky used the quote to explain an esoteric concept that reinterprets "Satan" or "Lucifer" in a non-Christian way.

Key aspects of her interpretation include:

Lucifer as the Light-Bringer: Blavatsky argued that the Christian concept of Satan/Lucifer was a misrepresentation of the ancient idea of the "Light-Bringer" (Lucifer is Latin for "light-bearer" or "morning star").

Symbol of Intelligence: In Theosophy, Lucifer represents the active, intelligent energy of the universe, the spirit of intellectual enlightenment and free thought within humanity.

The "Fall" as Spiritual Awakening: The "Fall of Man" allegory is reinterpreted as a positive event where humanity gained self-consciousness and divine wisdom, thanks to this "Luciferian" principle, similar to the Greek myth of Prometheus bringing fire to humanity.

Critique of Dogma: Blavatsky often used such provocative statements to challenge Christian dogma, which she viewed as turning pre-Christian deities or concepts into figures of evil.

Impersonal Deity: Theosophy believes in an omnipresent, eternal, boundless, and immutable principle (the Absolute) rather than a personal, anthropomorphic God or Devil.

Therefore, while the quote appears in her work, Blavatsky did not advocate for the worship of a conventional "Satan" but rather used the term to represent an abstract, positive spiritual force of intellect and progress.

Blavatsky speaks lot about Buddhism and in Buddhism there is no God. Theosophical Society's mission is not to spread satanism. If you are in that Absolute state, there is no God, satan or Lucifer and this is based on my personal experience.

Theosophy presents itself as a wisdom tradition rather than a dogma, emphasizing universal brotherhood and individual spiritual seeking over imposed beliefs.

Relationship to Dogma

No Dogma: The Society explicitly rejects dogma, viewing truth as something to be discovered through personal understanding, not accepted on authority.

Open Exploration: Members are free to accept or reject specific doctrines, provided they uphold the principle of universal brotherhood.

So Blavatsky's statements can also be questioned. And it is pointless for Satanists to argue and distort Blavatsky's statements.

Lucifer Didn’t Fall From Heaven — Because Separation Can’t Exist There.

The idea that a being could rebel in Heaven… doesn’t align with the truth of what Heaven is.

Heaven isn’t a palace in the clouds.

It’s not a throne room where egos negotiate power.

Heaven is a frequency.

A state of pure, undivided unity.

No duality. No rebellion. No “against.”

In that state, you don’t fall —

because there’s nothing to fall from.

There’s no “self” separate enough to oppose the Source.

You are the Source.

So what was the “fall”?

Maybe it wasn’t Lucifer.

Maybe it was consciousness itself…

choosing to explore duality.

Choosing to forget, just long enough to remember.

Maybe the “Lucifer story” is our story.

The descent into ego.

The game of light vs shadow.

The forgetting of unity — so we could reclaim it.

Because separation is the illusion.

And unity is not something you earn.

It’s something you realize.

You were never not it.

Heaven isn’t lost.

It’s remembered.
