Mount Kailash, a peak in the Kailash Range part of the Transhimalaya in Tibet, stands as one of the most enigmatic and revered mountains in the world. It lies near the source of some of Asia's longest rivers, the Brahmaputra, the Sutlej, and the Karnali. Revered as sacred in Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, and Bon, Mount Kailash has been the focus of myths, legends, and spiritual pilgrimages for centuries. Every year, thousands of pilgrims undertake the challenging journey to circumambulate the mountain on foot, covering a distance of 52 kilometers.
